I have recently made a fresh installation of 4.5.1 on a W2k3 server using MSSql2000 as the backend databaste. However, I noticed that after the installation, there were no default modules in the portal. So I went to the Download site and populated it with most of the modules that I felt my intranet users would use.

Unfortunately, after this setup I noticed that none of the modules would allow me to configure their settings. Usually when editing the first line in the drop down menu for each module takes you to the area to edit or enter content, and on each module I have tested, that first line is not there, so I cannot make any entries or input information. Before I take down my site and rebuild the database and the installation, I would like to know if there is something I may have missed - or if my install may have been corrupted?

Thanks for any help,

Paul

Can you access the module settings correct?  Also are you using a default or custom skin?

I have the default skins installed along with a custom skin that I personalized, both behave the same and don't let the module settings display. Do you think if I uninstall the custom set, it may restore the modification settings?
