Hi, I am doing all the development on my local computer.  The IIS, SQL Server are all on my notebook.  I am just wondering what is the best way to deploy to a web host after I have done the development of my site.

Do I simply copy all the files from my notebook to the host's web server and then export my database content to the host's server, and make change to the connection string and related configuration?

Eugene

Hello Eugene,

I am doing the same thing you did here. How did you eventually deploy you website from your notebook to another server?

Thank you,

-Frank

Pretty much that's it.  just copy the files over and the DB make the connection string changes and insure the right permissions are on the host folder.  That's how I've done all my sites.
