Installed :

IIS - tested OK

SQL Express - Tested OK

Edited Web.config

.NET Framwork 2.0

But when I goto http://loacalhost I get  the following error:

 

Server Error in '/' Application.

ANyone know what I am doing wrong

I have not seen that exact error message before but I do see a discrepancy between the version of the .NET framework that you mentioned in the context of your installation and the version mentioned in the error message. I would check that in IIS you have properly configured the virtual directory to use ASP.NET 2.0 -- perhaps this is the problem, if not it won't hurt to double check anyway :)

Well I did fix the problem.

I went back to making the site a Virtual Directory of the "Default" web site in IIS and then things started to work.

I have now run into issues with the database connection - oh well.

It seems IIS on Windows 2003 is not a straight forward install.

 

I will look for a proceedure somewhere or go back to XO Pro & IIS - less troubles.
