I have a couple of dotnetnuke sites on a shared web host and would like to download to my local machine, add source code and run as a source installation on VS2005. I'm pretty sure there are a number of dlls that need to be deleted but not sure which ones.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

As long as you have not modified the core, you should (in theory) be able to simply unzip the source package over the existing installation.  (I would also remove any DotNetNuke DLL files from the bin directory first (back them up thought just incase..)

Well I thought I had tried this with no luck before but I have just tried it again and the conversion and upgrade seemed to run smoothly. I did remove 1 dll that the source did not have in the bin directory but the rest of the dlls were copied over by the source files.

Thanks for your help.
