Installing Database - Version 4.4.0...Upgrading Database to Version ERROR: See D:\Webspace\reselleradmin\...\www\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\04.04.00.log for more information...FAILURE 400 - Conversion from string "ERROR: See D:Webspace%0deselleradm" to type 'Integer' is not valid.

What did happen with this error? I installed DNN hundreds of time but this is first time have seen this error message. This message appear when the install wizard go to to step execute SQL script.

The symptoms of DNN after install are:

  1. You can view Homepage of default portal. But can not login or register, because the login/register form cannot open. Game over.
  2. After appear the upper error message, install wizard ran very long (seem never endless, I didn't have enough time for waiting). I try to open a new window browser and type URL, it appear an error message:

Domain Name mydomain.com Does Not Exist In The Database

DotNetNuke supports multiple portals from a single database/codebase. It accomplishes this by converting the URL of the client browser Request to a valid PortalID in the Portals database table. The following steps describe the process:

  1. Web Server Processing
    • When a web server receives a Request from a client browser, it compares the file name extension on the target URL resource to its Application Extension Mappings defined in IIS.
    • Based on the corresponding match, IIS then sends the Request to the defined Executable Path ( aspnet_asapi.dll in the case of ASP.NET Requests ).
    • The aspnet_isapi.dll engine processes the Request in an ordered series of events beginning with Application_BeginRequest.
  2. HttpModule.URLRewrite OnBeginRequest ( UrlRewriteModule.vb )
    • The Request URL is parsed based on the "/" character
    • A Domain Name is constructed using each of the relevant parsed URL segments.

This error happen with both DNN ver 4.5.1 and 4.5.3.

Thanks to any idea!

Did you look at the log file that it referenced?  It should give a bit more detail as to which table was affected.

Thank you Mitchel, but that log file does not exist.

this error might be caused by a path exceeding max. length or caused by missing permissions. I suggest to check IIS settings, folder permissions and retry.

Thanks all of your ideas! I still don't know which made that happen.

Now, I passed step install database. Problem continue follow me:

1. After set username/password for host and admin, I can view the homepage of default portal

2. At this time I cannot open login/register form. I guess, URL Friendly module was not working well with my hosting server.

My question this time is: How to turn off (I don't want to remove it) URL Friendly in web.config? Or config in anyway by modify offline and then uploading to hosting server?
