Ok, so I have downloaded DNN 4.5.3, installed it, and started to test it out.  All was working well, I had a few test pages set up, some users...

Then I tried to use the Site Configuration wizard from the Admin menu.  First, my admin user wouldn't see any of the "edit content" type links on all modules.  And now, the "login" link refuses to work.  Checking in the error console, there are lots of Javascript errors.

1)  How can I correct this?

2)  Is this a known bug, and what is the fix - at the moment, this is a showstopper - DNN appears to be rather flaky.

Thanks.
