Hi,

I'm a newbie to DNN. I have installed it from the install zip to Server 2003 / SQL 2005. Everything went fine all permissions worked and database is connected.  I can access the portal from my local server but, whenever I try to browse to it from another machine the url changes to http://localhost/default.aspx and I get a 404. What am I missing?

Thanks

Did you install it into a virtual directory under localhost? such as http://localhost/dotnetnuke ? The other option would be to make sure you have the ASP.NET 1.1 and 2.0 extensions enabled in IIS.

Thanks, I figured it out on my own. I had to log in as Host and change the portal alias to reflect the right url.
