Hi,

I have my site on websecurestores which was working quite happily on a skinned DNN 4.5.3 until late yesterday

Late yesterday it started to do something strange, which I haven't been able to fix. One of my child portal's site logo decided not to display.

I went into the host settings, portal settings and checked this and sure enough in "appearance" it said "file name <none specified>"

So I set it back to the correct image file and clicked "update"

Nothing changed, I checked the setting again and the logo was set to "file name <none specified>"

I tried another file with the same effect.

I went into file manager and noticed clicked "synchronise files" and got an error (but can't see what it is as it's hosted) the event viewer does not show anything.

Could be a file manager or permissions error I guess but everything else (including all other images) is working as it should and it just stopped working. The last backup I took is doing the same thing and the previous backup a day earlier is working but needs a lot of work to get back to this stage

Any help appreciated

Regards

Craig

P.S. On a separate note, this all seemed to start happening when I was trying to enable the site log, I've adjusted the history to 30 days but nothing shows in the reporting. Strange.

Found this thread via a google search but I'm having the same problem.
Running 5.6.1 and my only portal's logo seems to reset itself everyone once in awhile. Log shows nothing; just seems to default back into nothing.

It's odd, and the problem doesn't repeat, just happens once, I set it back. It's fine for a couple of days and then it's just missing again.

And the favicon.ico seems to be acting up as well. It changes to an orange and brown symbol that I have saved no where on my site.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this happening?

Is your logo a png?  Try converting it to gif and then select that file.  For some reason I feel like I ran into this and just worked around by changing the format.
