I am installing the 4.5.3 release as a fresh install.

It is part way through the install, on the "Run Database Installation scripts" step

The message after it has run the step in the text box at the bottom is:

Installing Database - Version 4.4.0...undefined...Success
Installation of Database Complete

There is a "next" button which is enabled.   I press the next button and the page postback and reloads, but does not move to the next step, but refreshes with the same message.   Pressing next again gives the same result.

I had picked "custom installation" in a previous step, and selected a Sql2005 database (not the default local app_code mdf option), with an ipaddress and user/password for the connection settings.  The connection test passed successfully in the previous screen prior to the "run database scripts" step.

If you have a webserver connected to the internet and a registered domain the best way to install DNN is to put your project in IIS and run it from outside.

I am having the same issue.  I am attempting to install DNN for the first time.  I used the database information provided to me by my host, but the installation wizard hangs at this step.  Pressing the "next" button at this point appears to reload the same page--a dead end in the wizard.  Can anyone suggest a solution or workaround?
