I removed some modules from my DNN install.. (latest version).  And now I cant login.  The only modules I removed were the store modules... but I dont see why I wouldnt be able to login.

I also installed the latest HTML editor module.. though I cant see why this would cause me not to be able to login.

What can I do here?

I check the aspnet_memberships table and all password salts are the same and the password fields all equal... I know this because I only have the two users admin and host... and I set them all the same.

When I try to login I get

Login Failed, remember that Passwords are case sensitive

I have also checked the encryption key in the config file... they have not changed.

You didn't move or upload it did you? I can't login to any of my accounts --- but only once it has been uploaded to the host, so I'm wondering why that could be. Your post has me turning back to verifying my web.config files! I'm sorry to not have any ideas for you.

I had exactly the same problem yesterday. I noted for some reason the web.config file had been changed overnight - but as yet I don't know what or why. I solved the problem by copying the same password/passwordsalt from another DNN instance on the same machine - along with the machine & encryption keys.
