After some recent problems when upgrading from 4.5.2 to 4.5.3 I have reverted back to the v4.5.2.

Now I am getting an Upgrading Database message everytime I go to any portal.  It is automatically going to the install folder to do this, and when I remove this folder it returns an error... although going to the Default.aspx in the root still works fine.

Is there a way to stop this from happening?

Thanks

David

If you backed up the site and database, you should be able to roll back. You have to roll back to the 4.5.2 version of the web site and the database, not just the site.

Thanks Jeimer

I had thought the database was backed up as it is hosted on a separate server (and I had understood backups were a part of it) but I have been told since it is not the case... maybe foolish... but I would rather run DNN at 4.5.3... but working is the most important thing.

So now I have the site at 4.5.2, database stuck at 4.5.3 (although that upgrade says it's successdul and the site seems to run mostly fine, just the module issue I have seen & the upgrade screen).

I am not a programmer but I have had 4.5.3 running fine on my server, with the DSLocalizator now running... but not with the database. I am not sure how easy it is to upload data (forums and users) but the only solution I can think of right now is to set the site up again... for me without that user info etc I am guessing a solid days work, so am wondering if this is the way I should go or...

Is there somebody that is able to correct this sort of thing that I could contract sorting this out to?

Thanks

David

In your web.comfig file change AutoUpgrade =  false.  Also, go in the database table called version and delete the reference to 4.5.3.
