I've successfully installed/configured/moved DNN 4.X on a variety of Win Server 2003 32bit platforms - both as standalone hosts and split systems using seperate DB host/web servers. The challenges/solutions for installing/moving/backing up DNN 4.X are familiar to me and I thought I'd seen it all :-)

I've just tried installing the DNN 4.5.3 platform on an X64 host running X64 versions of Win2003/.NET2 and SQL Server. The new X64 DB platform seems fine hosting the imported/login-migrated DBs for other DNN installs - still running under IIS on the 32bit machines - so I doubt the X64 DB is my problem...

• I cannot get the IIS instance on the X64 host to run the DNN install. 
• The webserver responds to any GET to DNN's .aspx files with 'Page not Found' and/or a 400 server error.
• Static test.html files in the IIS/DNN directory serve up fine - with the DNN icon in the browser path...(?)
• I also cannot run any of the IIS/DNN filesystems imported/adapted from the other hosts - regardless of whether I point them at the mapped DB permission to the local DB - or their orignal DB source. The problem seems unique to the IIS instance on the X64 host.
• Deliberately 'breaking' the DB connection strings in the web.config makes no difference to this behavior. It's as if the web.config isn't even loaded/parsed?
• The system and application event logs don't throw any light on this.
• Is there some fundamental issue with running DNN 4.5.3 on an X64 platform?
