Hi Guys
I am having a bit of trouble at the moment, whenever someone goes to the website for the first time since the application was last started (for example if you made a change to the web config the next person to go to the site would get the message) I get the following message.
Now i was just wondering if this was due to a possible failed update and/or how do I fix this problem. I think this problem arose after i tried to create another install of DNN and pointed it to the same database which was being used by another dnn install. The problem being that perhaps they were different versions of the dnn app.
Thanks for the help

Server Error in '/' Application.

Server cannot append header after HTTP headers have been sent.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Web.HttpException: Server cannot append header after HTTP headers have been sent.

Source Error:
The source code that generated this unhandled exception can only be shown when compiled in debug mode. To enable this, please follow one of the below steps, then request the URL:

1. Add a "Debug=true" directive at the top of the file that generated the error. Example:

  <%@ Page Language="C#" Debug="true" %>

or:

2) Add the following section to the configuration file of your application:

<configuration>
   <system.web>
       <compilation debug="true"/>
   </system.web>
</configuration>

Note that this second technique will cause all files within a given application to be compiled in debug mode. The first technique will cause only that particular file to be compiled in debug mode.

Important: Running applications in debug mode does incur a memory/performance overhead. You should make sure that an application has debugging disabled before deploying into production scenario.

Which DNN version are you using? I remember, that this happened with some compresssion/whitespace filter settings in DNN 4.4.x, AFAIK this has been corrected in DNN 4.5. Please upgrade.

Hi thanks for the reply and yes i am currently using a 4.4.x version

So when i upload the new code over the top of the old code, the install will come up correctly and then everything should be fine.

Thanks for your time
