I just did a clean install of 4.5.5 by running the install project in Visual Studio 2005 on Vista under Cassini.  The installation appeared to work fine, and I can run DNN in Visual Studio under Cassini without any issues.

However, when I run DNN under IIS by typing the URL for my web app directly into the browser, my DNN site loads only the aspx page but the images do not display and the javascript (js) files apparently do not download either as there are numerous javascript errors.

I have set the folder where my DNN project resides up as an Application under IIS with the same name as the Web Site folder in Visual Studio.  The only IIS configuration change I have made from the default settings is to change the App Pool to "Classic .NET AppPool" and to enable forms authentication.  The USERS group is set up with full access to the folder.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same problem under IIS.  Have not tried Cassini... but don't know why it isn't working under IIS.  I have about 15 other asp.net 2.0 apps running under IIS just fine.

did you grant necessary permissions on file system for unauthenticated users?
