My web host reserves "Admin" for the user account self-adminstration, so I had to rename the ADMIN directory.  I changed all references (that I could find), in the code and the database to point to the renamed directory.

I ran into the difficulty of the (3.2.2) install not creating the GetPortalSettings procedure, so I manually created it using a post from the asp .net forum.

Most functionality/pages seem to work, but when I try to logoff it crashes with the error:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

I tried to recompile in VS.NET 2003, but was unsuccessful due to too many errors.

What can I do?

What can I do?

May sound a bit rude but the only viable option for me is moving to another service provider is they provide another solution for this. Renaming the admin folder will only cause you trouble and dnn will not work at all.

You can try to install dnn in a subfolder in you server and ask them to create a new virtual directory on the folder where you installed dnn. This should solve the conflicting folder names
