Hi,

I just upgraded to 4.05.05, I made sure to copy db settings and machinekey to the new web.config, and everything looked fine at first. But when I logged out and tried to log back in, my passwords (both host + admin) did not work anymore. Now the system locked me out because I entered the wrong password too often. I veryfied that machinekey is identical, is there anything else I must look for? And what to do when the system locked my admin and host account out?

Another, completly different question: I have a number of domain pointing to my DNN installation and love the feature to redirect the domains to several portals (my hoster does not offer this option). For some portals, I would like to simply redirect to an index.html or default.aspx e.g. in Portals/MyWeb. Or I want to redirect the Portal to an external URL (which I could do from that default.aspx but maybe there is a more elegant way). Maybe this is configureable and I just didn't find out how, or there is something like a rediretion module (which avoids loading the rest of the page and redirects to a given url)?

TIA for any hint an these issues!

Regards
Tim

make sure, you keep machinekey from your previously used web.config file

Thanks. That's what I did - copy the db and machinekey section to the new web.config.

Any idea what else I can try?

I probably did something stupid, because now (a few hours later) both logins work again.

Tim,

Most likely you locked out the accounts and they automatically reset after I believe 1 hour.

You could have manually reset the accounts via the database if needed.
