OK, I just upgraded a remote site from 3.1.1 to 4.5.3, and the install says it ran perfectly.  Then, when i try to browse to the site, I get an endless loop and the browser just times out (IE) or tells me it is an endless loop (Firefox).  The url is www.artsandlearning.com, but the url after submitting is:

http://www.artsandlearning.com/Default.aspx?alias=www.artsandlearning.com

I have checked the PortalAlias table, and it is fine, and have played with adding/removing/editting entries there with no real success.

Thanks

Tim

Well, for others who may have the problem, it was somewhat simple...

Somewhere in the update process default.aspx got replaced with another default.aspx that just screwed things up.  So, once I realized that the default.aspx which was on the server was not the default.aspx which I downloaded from DNN, I ftp'ed it and it worked immediately.

Hope that helps!

Tim
