Hi

Can you help?
I've recently upgraded a portal from 4.3.6 to 4.5.5.

If I navigate to host/file manager or admin/ file manager I get:

Error: File Manager is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: D:\websites\[IPADDRESS]\Admin\Files\FileManager.ascx.vb(780): error BC30002: Type 'ZipEntry' is not defined. ---> System.Web.HttpCompileException: D:\websites\[IPADDRESS]\Admin\Files\FileManager.ascx.vb(780): error BC30002: Type 'ZipEntry' is not defined. at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.CompileWebFile(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultInternal(VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultWithNoAssert(HttpContext context, VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(String virtualPath) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.InjectModule(Control objPane, ModuleInfo objModule, PortalSettings PortalSettings) in C:\Websites\Builds\Upgrade435to455\New455\Library\Components\Skins\Skin.vb:line 456 --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

and if I navigate to Host/Portals, I get under "export template":

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: D:\websites\[IP ADDRESS]\Admin\Portal\Template.ascx.vb(190): error BC30002: Type 'ZipOutputStream' is not defined. ---> System.Web.HttpCompileException: D:\websites\[IP ADDRESS]\Admin\Portal\Template.ascx.vb(190): error BC30002: Type 'ZipOutputStream' is not defined. at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.CompileWebFile(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultInternal(VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultWithNoAssert(HttpContext context, VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(String virtualPath) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.InjectModule(Control objPane, ModuleInfo objModule, PortalSettings PortalSettings) in C:\Websites\Builds\Upgrade435to455\New455\Library\Components\Skins\Skin.vb:line 456 --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Note the C and D drive paths in the error message no longer exist.I upgraded the site locally and then uploaded it to a remote server.

Ouch! Any ideas?

Thanks!

Alex

I've now gone and looked at the local machine where the upgrade took place before uploading. No such problems. So the issue only started happening when the site got uploaded to the remote machine. So some sort of relative file path problem I guess? I just can't seem to work out

Originally the 4.5.5 installation came from DNN 4.5.5 source version.
For some reason there is a relative path issue on the installation with SharpZipLib.dll .
Overwriting the file /bin/SharpZipLib.dll with a file from the standard install kit did the trick.

The issue has been logged here.

After upgrading from 3.3.7 -- first to 4.3.7 then 4.4.1 and finally 4.7.0 -- my portal has similar errors. During the upgrade, I did not remove the ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll and ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.xml files. Deleting them from the /bin folder resolved the problem.

InnerException: Error: File Manager is currently unavailable.

Message: DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Error: File Manager is currently unavailable. ---> System.Web.HttpCompileException: DriveLetter:\folder\wwwroot\Admin\Files\FileManager.ascx.vb(780): error BC30560: 'ZipEntry' is ambiguous in the namespace 'ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip'.

InnerException: Error: Export Template is currently unavailable.

Deleting ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll and ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.xml from /bin cleared this error for me as well.
