DNN 4.0 install "seems" not as solid as 3.x.

I have installed over 50 3.x DNN portals without issues from the beginning and I have tried many times today to install DNN 4.0 using both the install pkg and the starter kit and can't get it to install without some cryptic error that I can't find any reference too in the help or install forum. It's frustrating, yes..

Using the starter kit, everything installs fine, then when you click on the portal to view, I am presented with an error on every module that it can't be displayed. I can login and delete all but the main module, can't add any modules and can't edit the bad ones that are there??

If I try to install 4.0 the way I installed 3.x just using the install, configuring SQL, IIS and the web.config, I get either some sort of Start.Upgrade.Timer issue or that it can't load the UrlRewrite assembly.

Any ideas? What's the secret handshake to get this to install as smoothly as 3.x?

I am using Server 2003 Standard Edition, IIS 6.0, SQL Server 2000.

Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,

Russ
