Install Issue

Hi

I wonder if anyone can advise me with this issue?

I have installed a DNN on a Local machine and later transferred the file to the web server. When I opened the site on the webserver it redirected to Localhost address. I have fixed this part by changing the Portal Aliases to point to the webserver.

It works fine but when I try to login and click on login it redirects to Localhost address. I have checked Prortal aliases in the database and there is only one entry pointing to webserver address.

Do you mean clicking the login link created by Login Skin object or the login button in login module ?

Hi dawoe

Thank you for pointing this out.

I am redirected to localhost only when I click on the login link from the skin. but I can login properly to the server through the login link thats in the page content. Is it something to do with the skin I am using.

My guess is that you are not using the skinobject [LOGIN] but a hard coded link in your skin.

Maybe you can post the source of your skin ?

Hi

I checked the URLS table in the database and change the url from Localhost to the my website. but its still the same.

I have started working with DNN from past few days and still trying to figure out how it works.

Where can I find source the code for the skin or what to look for in the source code.
