Hi,

Sorry if this is already posted somewhere but I couldn't find it. I need to create a portal in my dev environment, it will contain at least 100 pages. I assumed that I would be able to do this and then simply export the portal and import into the client site, but this doesn't work so well as the page id changes during import.

The reason I am using the tabid in the links is because I need the users to be able to change the name of the pages if they require without breaking links within the site.

How can I get around this problem? I am using v. 4.5.5

Cheers

Jason

Hi, thanks for you fast reply, but I'm afraid the referred link doesn't help in my situation.

In my staging environment I have a whole load of pages all with links to each other for example:

Example Page 01: /Manual/tabid/66/Default.aspx

Example Page 02: /Manual/Operations/tabid/67/Default.aspx

All is well until I export the portal and try to import it onto another server, during the import process the tabid's change so the links get broken

Example Page 01 /Manual/tabid/66/Default.aspx has now become /Manual/tabid/37/Default.aspx and

Example Page 02 /Manual/Operations/tabid/67/Default.aspx has now become /Manual/Operations/tabid/38/Default.aspx

Is there any way nice I can ensure the tabids remain the same during the export/import process ?

Thanks

Just a note: I realise that I can create the links using the tab name instead of the tab id but this solution will not work for me for other reasons.
