Hi 

I am really having a had time installing dotnet nuke on my server. I do not know what i am doing wrong. When i test the connection, it works fine. the folder permissions ok but when i try installing i get a timeout error. sqlserver 2005 is not supported so i am using the 2000 version. Can anyone please help me. thank you

What error are you getting?  If you are using SQL 2000 instead of 2005 Express you should make sure to modify your connection strings in the web.config to use the correct syntax, i.e. comment out the SQL2005 Connection String and enable the SQL 2000 string.

I'd also recommend giving forum posts a more descriptive title in the future so people will be more willing to help you out.

Hi, thanks for the prompt reply. The error i am getting is that the server timed out. One other error i had was it could not update the database. My hosting company managed to install it for me so i am trying to find out how they did it.

Hi,

 The problem is solved. It had to do with the dbo access. The problem was with the dbo access. My host asked me to give them the login and the database and they will set the dbo. Once it was done, my installation went fine.
