I've set up aliases for both localhost and for the name of the machine, and ... it was working and now it's not working from localhost. I've tried to work out what it could be, and all of the forum posts are for the opposite problem, forgetting to add a machine name alias. Any ideas where I should start? I think it's related to Windows authentication, but I disabled it in the admin menu and that didn't do it.

Thanks for any ideas. (I'm about to go to a clean 4.6 install soon anyway.)

I've got the same problem. I can't access DNN from DNN server when using localhost or machines local  IP address. It was working until a day or two ago. Maybe it was windows updates...
