Hi,

I just upgraded my website to dnn 3.2.2 but now I have problems installing private assemblies. Until now both Gallery and Forum give this error:

StartJob Registering DesktopModule
Failure ExceptionSystem.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: type at System.Activator.CreateInstance(Type type, Boolean nonPublic) at DotNetNuke.Framework.Reflection.CreateObject(String TypeName, String CacheKey) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstaller_V3.GetDesktopModuleSettings(DesktopModuleInfo objDesktopModule, PaFolder Folder) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.RegisterModules(PaFolder Folder, ArrayList Modules, ArrayList Controls) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.Install(PaFolderCollection folders) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaInstaller.Install()

Additional info from the LogViewer:

Anyone have an idea on how to solve this?

All help will be appreciated.

Are you using the newest versions of Gallery and Forum?  I know that between 3.0 and 3.2 the install file formats changed...

Yes, both are the latest versions. I installed both exact same pa's before on other 3.2.2 installations. And it's not only those 2 modules, I can't install any new module...

I didn't yet slve the problem, but did find a work-around. When I manually copy the dll files into my bin folder before I upload the pa zipfile, all goes fine..

I'd still like to find out how this happened...
