Hi,
I am trying to upgrade DNN from 4.6.0 to 4.6.2.
The installer stop immediately saying: The stored procedures “dbo.GetPortalAliasByPortalID” doesn't exist.
Obvious… object qualifier that I have inserted during the first installation was FF_ and therefore procedure is called dbo.FF_GetPortalAliasByPortalID.
Is a bug or a my error?

Tnx, Fabrizio

I too am having this error on a clean install with no object qualifier in 4.6.2.  Installer gets to 4.4 SQL script running and says complete.  Then I get the dbo.GetPortalAliasByPortalID doesn't exist error.  A look at the db shows no sps or tables in the db, but auth was not a problem.

Yes, I really need help... the mental kind!   Uhmmm, when one installs DNN, one must make sure the user account has more-than-read permissions on the db!  Duh... One question though... it didn't kick any error, just did the above and stopped.  Should it not throw an error if it can't write to db?

make sure, you always keep connection string, databaseOwner and objectQualifier during upgrades. Have a look at this check list: http://www.deutschnetnuke.de/tabid/186/Default.aspx

...and the winner is... Leupold !!!

In nobody of mine other installations of DNN I have specified the ObjectQualifier, therefore I never copied this key from SQLDataprovider section of web.config... this time was necessary

Tnx,
Fabrizio
