I shift my DNN one server to another...  importing Database creating user role ETC i done all things & after that DNN install in new server all pages user are ok skin container every thing is working... but all images on site is missing.... images are actually are in right place but portal name showing missing ...

image path suppose to be like that

localhost/mysite/portal/0/images/image.gif

But its show

localhost/portal/0/images/image.gif

”mysite” is missing… the portal name actually


I figure out by checking image property kind help me out...

Hi billijeans,

I suspect you have a problem with your portalaliases. Take a look at them and make sure they haven't changed at all since you've migrated.

Also, take a look at the hostheader property in the appSettings element of your web.config. I can't tell from your description if this is what you need to correct your issue, but it may be what you need.

This appears to be due to the previous installation existing on the root of you localhost and this new site having a subfolder.  The way the links are stored in the database (depending on the module) they are stored with the root relative path, which in this case doesn't have your mysite folder listed.

There isn't necessary an easy fix to this as depending on where and what modules have these links stored it can be hard to track them all down.

The problem is about the alias create by ISS

Solution: create a alias and associate the "mysite" to the directory portal

or modify your file host
