I have a webhosting4life site.  I tried to upgrade to 4.7 and trashed the site (I posted for help on that, enough said).   I deleted the existing database and all the files on my site. I then used the wizard webhosting4life provides to create a fresh install version 4.5.3., without even logging on,  I coped all the files from the the upgrade to the site and directions indicate. I modified the release.config with the connections strings from the web.config.

I then went back to the www.chickensnow.info site, it came up , however what I did not see is the normal verion upgrade window, it just seem to go straight to the default Dotnetnuke home page.

I then tried to log in using the default user name and password , but cant seem to make it happen , any ideas , anyone?

By default the password for host is dnnhost, and for admin is dnnadmin.

If you used a wizard provided by your hosting provider they MAY have changed the default passwords.  Additionally when you did the upgrade did you copy the machineKey values from the old web.config to the new one?  You must copy those for te passwords to decrypt properly.
