I installed the latest DotNetNuke 4.7.0 Starter Kit.  All install messages were the same - "installation completed successfully".   But when I opened Visual Studio 2005 Professional and went to create a new website, the DotNetNuke project template did not appear under the "My Templates" section of the New Web Site window.

Does anyone have any suggestions about what I've done wrong and what to do next?

I'm having the exact same problem, but have not found anything on the web to address it

I'm having the exact same problem. It looks to me like:

<Attribute name="ProjectType" value="Visual Web Developer"/>

is causing the templates to be installed for Visual Web Developer only. I've tried chaning DotNetNuke.vscontent but don't know what the valid project types are.

I figured out the problem on my end. Basically I'm an idiot. After selecting create new web-site you need to make sure that the language is set to Visual Gaysac as shown below:
