Gary,  did you find an answer?  I'm having the same thing happen.  I've set up dozens of sites before - but this is my first on GoDaddy - what a pain!!

Even if I type default.aspx - it redirects.

I've got the same issue with a DNN 4.7 install.

I've copied the default.aspx and default.aspx.vb files to the Install folder, the home page starts to load, but has errors. this shoed me that DNN is trying to find the default page, or someting else in the Install folder.

What versions of DNN are you installing?

I was wondering if you knew how to use GoDaddy's auto installer. I used it last night for a new DNN install and had no problems. If you don't like the mental pain installing DNN manual via GoDaddy... use the hosting auto install it will have you up and going with a DNN portal in less than 5 mins.

The only thing I'm attempting to figure out is how to get my site to be  www.mysitename.com instead of the www.mysitename.com/portalnameImade - other than that issue Godaddy is sweet for me.

I'm also installing the 4.7 package.
