We currently run V3.2.1 DNN on a Webfusion VPS server.

When we edit a particular module in a portal with IE6, the user clicks on "Edit text" and then they are logged out of the site.  This occurs on different computers too.  We have tried deleting cookies and adding the site to trusted sites, but the problem still persists.  It seems to be certain modules that causes problems, not every module on the site.

We have tried Firefox and this doesn't give us the same problem.  We have seen similar posts about IE giving this problem.  Does anyone know how to work around it?

Thanks,

Paul

How to fix when logins fail on IE6:

1. Open IE6
2. Menu items "Tools" >> "Internet Options"
3. Select the "Privacy" tab
4. Click the "Sites" button
5. Type in your site (e.g. "mysite.com")
6. Click the "Allow" button
7. Click the "OK" button

try to login now.

John that only works on some of the sites. It a good thing to think of though and one of the first things I tried.

Perhaps it is also has to do with what level of trust is given to the site.

I read somewhere that Medium was causing problems...

Hi John,

Thanks for the post.  I have tried this and it still does the same thing.  I log into the site, go to edit the text in the module, and immediately, it logs me out.

Any other ideas?

Paul
