Hello:

I am new to DNN. We have decided to invest 2 weeks into exploring DNN and whether or not to use DNN company-wide as our social network solution. I downloaded the DNN 4.7.0 source and I am able to successfully debug/run the website using VS 2008 and its build-in browser. So, when running DNN locally on my dev machine the url looks something like this...http://localhost:2600/Dnn/default.asp

Also, I am NOT using SQLExpress. I am using SQL Server 2005.

NOW, here is my issue. I would like to be able to deploy this website just like I deploy other regular .net web sites. I have a windows server 2003 .net 3.5 web server. However, the deployment does not work.

When I browse to the website on production I get a "Page not found" 404 page.

Can you help please

thanks

before deploying the site (see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryID/1293/Default.aspx) make sure, you added the new address as portal alias: login as Host user, go to portals, select portal, scroll down settings page til the end and add alias.
