I went to my site today and it will not load.  I get the following error...  PLease Help!

DotNetNuke

DotNetNuke Error: - Version 04.05.01


Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

There is obviously a problem on the server causing the web site to not properly initialize and respond.  Are you using a web host to host your site?  If so, notify them immediately of your error. 

If you are not using a web host, you need to find out what processes on your server are not allowing your site to respond to web requests.  I know that the last statement was pretty general in nature, but the cause of a server not serving out web content are innumerable.

This almost sounds like a database connection timeout.  As the person above mentioned I would check with your hosting provider to see if they have anything occuring on their side that might be causing issues.

Otherwise have you made any large changes to the site recently.  Such as adding a large amount of content and/or users?
