Same error here.  I'm running VS03 & VS05 on the same box.  I setup the site to use my local SQL Server 2003 as the DB.  I just install DNN 4.0.2, so no previous installs can interfere.  I'm trying to run the site as a file system site under VS05.

I ended up getting past this error after I deleted my existing web.config file and copying/renaming the release.config file to web.config.  In the new web.config I just had to edit the SQL connection string and then run the compile. 

Now I'm on to bigger and better issues.
