Please forgive me if this question has been asked before.  I have searched for an answer but could not locate it.

Here is my issue.  For the past two to three years, I have had absolutely no problem with my dotnetnuke service.  However, now I am unable to upload or save any files.  GoDaddy is the host and unable to provide any help at all.  Can someone assist me?  I am not tech savvy, so please explain to me in layman terms.  This is the error message I am getting with my personal information omitted:

An Error Has Occurred When Attempting To Save The File D:\Content\(my username)\ValueApps\DotNetNuke\Portals\0\(the file name). Please Contact Your Hosting Provider To Ensure The Appropriate Security Settings Have Been Enabled On The Server.

Thanks!

Kim

Kim,

When you say that Godaddy is unable to provide any help, what exactly did they tell you? Do you think if you had more specific information they would be able to help?

My initial thought is that if you have not had any issues with this in the past, and "all of the sudden it stops working" -- something on GoDaddy's side has changed somehow.....the first thing I would verify (with GoDaddy's help possibly) is that the windows user account that the web site is running under (probably Network Service) has write access (file system permissions) to that directory (d:\content\your username\valueapps\dotnetnuke\...etc).

Let us know if you that is something they can help you verify, otherwise we might have to find someone with a little more GoDaddy experience to help you investigate that yourself.

take care,

Ian
