After running dnn4 upgrade the message  below appears re Duplicate Portal Users -

Upgrading DotNetNuke

Current Assembly Version: 04.07.00

Current Database Version: 03.02.02

00:00:00.031 -   Executing Script: Upgrade.SqlDataProvider Success

Warning:

Duplicate Portal Users

We have detected that the following Users have duplicate entries (they exist in more than one portal). You need to be aware that after the upgrade, the password for some of these users may have been automatically changed (as the system now only uses one password per user, rather than one password per user per portal). It is important to remember that your Users can always retrieve their password using the Password Reminder feature, which will be sent to the Email addess shown in the table.

"a list of users appears here - then"

More than 1000 Users

This DotNetNuke Database has 4022 users. As the users and their profiles are transferred to a new format, it is estimated that the script will take ~0.37 minutes to execute.

Click Here To Proceed With The Upgrade.

If I click on the link above it just creates the same message -  Anyone with any ideas to correct this problem?

When you click to proceed it should go back and continue processing, are you sure that the page isn't potentially still processing?

I'm having the same problem upgrading from 4.0.3 to 4.8. Did you figure out how to get around the problem?

Mitchell,

I'm having the same issue. I've checked and its just going back to the www.website.com/Install/Install.aspx?mode=upgrade page and reexecuting. Its like its stuck in a loop and doing nothing. The only thing that changes is script execution time. Nothing else.

I'm lost. Thanks in advance for any help.

Sorry. Just realized I didn't give any info.

I'm on a windows 2003 r2 server running .Net 2.0.

I'm upgrading from 3.2 to 4.6. I get the same user profile error, but when I "click to proceed" anyways, it just loops back to the same page and refires the application. I'm gonna try upgrading one version and see if that changes anything.
