Hi,

Thanks in advance for your help. I am trying to install the latest version on a Win XP Pro with SQL Server 2005. All of the wizard steps verify the database but it fails running the scripts.

 

Installing Database - Version 4.4.0...Upgrading Database to Version ERROR: See C:\DotNetNuke\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\04.04.00.log for more information...FAILURE 400 - Conversion from string "ERROR: See C:DotNetNukeProviders" to type 'Integer' is not valid.

The file mentioned in the error 04.04.00.log does not exist. The database is using Latin1_General_BIN collation.  Any ideas?

I also got this error attempting a (very, using a virtual PC install of 2k3) fresh install on a 2k3 Server with SQL Server 2000.

Additionally, I found that when I used the back button a few times and went forward I got a new install script that failed about 50% of the items; after that the install was hosed.  I kept getting an error about the domain, which didn't really show up in google much.

I am wondering if this is because I didn't install a 3.x version of dnn first.

OK the main page on the forum says there is a reply but I don't see it anywhere. Am I missing something?

Any luck on  your problem? Any resolution?

And on a side note, I can't believe they have to moderate every post. No wonder people have a hard time getting answers on this forum.

I have the same message with the same configuration.

Following some advice (related to other problems with installing the latest release) I have tried to do an installation of 4.06.02 first ( I am currently on 4.4.0)....

This resulted in the same error message (and blank log file)

Hopefully this post might save other people wasted time in trying an intermediate update first as it does not seem to change the problem.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions
