I want to know if there is a need for DotNetNuke installers. I have created installers for DotNetNuke 4.0.2 using the SQLExpress dataprovider. There have been some downloads of these installers but, I have not recieved any feedback concerning them (Usually, no news is good news.. but you never know). Anyway, what I would like to know if there is any need for DNN installers using different dataproviders? I want to make it clear that when I refer to data providers I mean SQL 2000, SQLExpress, SQL 2005. I don't have a problem creating installers for different versions of DNN as long as it's no earlier that 2.0. If there is a need for DNN installers please let me know. I don't want to waste the time making them if no one cares to use them. If you do need a DNN installer created, just let me know what version and dataprovider you are looking for.

If you are interested in testing the DNN 4.0.2 installers that support SQLExpress you can get them at http://www.tech-checkup.com

Thanks for your time,
Vertigo

By the increasing number of posts related to both DNN 3 and DNN 4 I'd suggest you release one for DNN 3 as well. I downloaded the one for 4 but didn't really have time to play with it.

Do you know the truth when you hear it?

I think there is a great big need for installers.  Just take a look in the forums and you should tell.  :)  It would be great to be able to tell someone sorry your having a problem just go ahead and use this installer.

Thanks for the input! I will go ahead and create installers for DotNetNuke 3.X versions using the SQL 2K DataProvider since thats seems to be a standard right now. I'll let you all know when they are ready!!
