I tried to FTP my whole DNN directory from my server to my home computer to make a backup before I upgrade my DNN.

About 15 files failed in the FTP process... some of the files were titled SQLDataProvider.

How can I get these locked files free such that I can get a complete backup?  I tried renaming the web.conf file to see if this would stop the DNN instance and free up these busy files.  No soap.

Surely there is an easy answer to this question since Backing up the DNN directory structure needs to be done before every upgrade.  I'm just not seeing it.

Thanks!
