Is anyone even looking into this problem?

Please do not take the following comments the wrong way, as they spur from frustration.

I am afraid to say this but 4.8.0 upgrade has not been up there on a scale of 1 -10. The issues I see are with the Active Directory provider, ScriptManager errors, Shadow copy errors, buggy event viewer and the lack of focus on enhancing the search functionality. I understand generating revenues is essential for and open source project, but has the focus turned to promoting the Marketplace rather then the core framework?  I am more then greatfull for all the hard work of the project leads and salute them for the work they have done to date. With all the problems with 4.8.0 I would have suspected a 4.8.1 release by now.

What can we do the help get this great project back on track. I apologize in advance if I offend anyone.
