I have been with DNN since 4.5.3 and have done all upgrades without any issues in the past. I am running almost 6 sites on it and have had no issues. I really like the product and appreciate the effort put in by the dev. team to enhance it every step of the way.

I am so disappointed with the release & upgrade to 4.8.0 as it has so many issues. Is there going to be another release soon which would fix the major issues ?

Thanks,

Vishal

Vishal,
Soon after upgrading a few dozen portals to v4.8, I might have agreed with you.

But after some effort and troubleshooting, found that some of the apparent bugs/problems weren't necessarily the fault of the DNN core, but some other things I had going on some of the portals.

It would help if you would describe your problems - maybe they are unique to your situation.

I have found much of DNN v4.8 to be pretty solid.

Hi,

I have been using DNN portals since just over a year now, have been really pleased with it. I don't have any custom modules nor have made and changes to the core or modules. I have always followed the upgrade steps and not missed out on any.

To start with :
1. Login / Logout doesn't work, users can't logout. - The authentication is not Window in web.config
2. Cannot at Modules to any pages
3. Cannot change text in the existing modules
4. Cannot add or delete new pages
5. http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/107/threadid/201477/scope/posts/Default.aspx

Thanks,

Vishal

Vishal,
These things can be tough when emailing back and forth.

#1-4 have a lot in common.

If you would email me at eric at swanzey.com with a site I could register on that's having these problems, I'd be happy to take a look.

Those problems are not reported by other users, please be more specific about your configuration:

- are you using AD provider? check for the beta of V 1.0.2

- performance settings

- server settings for compression, proxy etc.
