Hi, we have a DNN version in production. We now want to have a developing environment on EXACT the same copy of production.

I created on my local DB server a new DB from a back-up of the DNN prod DB. This is linked to a developing environment of DNN. All I changed was the PortalAlias to be linked to my local IIS developing site.

But it is impossible to logon the web site using the same credentials as on production. I guess it has something to do with the application ID from the asp.net MemberShip API structure....

Anybody has any ideas?

make sure, the machine key in your web.config file has not been modified by the installer.
