Hello all,

Does anybody have an idea how long it should take for the installation of the database scripts? It's been over an hour and I am still watching little red squares on the install screen. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
kevdot

It really depends on your environment.  it might take as little as 30 seconds - 1 minute, but in some cases I have noticed it taking over 1 hour to complete.

Now, typcially there is something with either the SQL Server of the installation process that causes it to run more than a minute or two.  Are you 100% sure that both connection strings were set properly and go to a database that exists?

I'm having the same issue when creating a DNN portal from the VStudio Starter Kit. I did the custom install and verified the SQL Server Express DB Connection and verified it was working before the DB Install Script Started....
