Hi guys

I have look everywhere and can not get any info on this. I installed a fresh install of 4.8 and everything seemed fine the first thing I tried to do is to access host settings to start changing settings and I get the following error have reinstalled 8 times now and still get this error. can anyone help

Error: Host Settings is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Host.HostSettingsModule.BindData() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Host.HostSettingsModule.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

P.s. my server is setup fine as I was running a 4.7 install fine for months and deleted this before setting up 4.8 I always run them on this test server first for errors like these.

Everything else is fine but without access to the host settings there is to much I can not change.

Thank you in advance for anyones help.

Paul

Bump.

I got the same error on a clean automated install at IHost.

OK, I deleted the databse and tried a fresh new one, and the same error occurred.

Then I deleted the entire root folder and the new database and tried it all from scratch.

Same error.

I wonder if it iwll go away if the host information is entered manually in the db?

I am having the exact same problem. I also am using ihost. hmmmmm. I see a pattern here. I am going to try a fresh install with a new db and a new root folder.
