As a new user of DNN I have a question regarding the SQL requirement for the database side of the instalation. I'm wondering if the My Sql or Postgre Sql is an posible database to use with DNN. I have search this site to see if there is any mention of My Sql and have not found alot of information.

If someone could provide me with the answer or direct me to an area that would provide me reading to aquire the answer the knowlegde.

Thanks In advance

Right now DNN is only designed for out-of-box functionality with MS SQL.

With that said, I do remember seeing a MySQL driver for DNN back about a year ago for version 2.1.2.. but I'm not sure how far along in its development it was...

Hey Timtimtimtimtim

Thanks for the response on my question about My sql. I found what I thought that I found the connector and gave it a shot. Well after a few hours I concluded that either I had the wrong connector or it is above my head. I have move to larger fish. Sql Express 2005 like you mentioned and dot net nuke 4.0. I actually got it to work.

Thanks again!

Gerald
