I get this error when trying to install the DNN 4.08 Starter kit with MS Visual Web Developer 2008.

I Installation stopped because the directory for the ProjectType value did not exist.  The project type is invalid for your installation of Visual Studio.

I am trying to upgrade my desktop installation. I previously had version 4.03 installed on my local host. Do I need to download and upgrade that first?

I would really like to get this working so I can use the web developer sofware to develop my site makeover. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Thanks,
Bee

I have solved this by doing a google search. It was caused because there was a missing folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Visual Basic

I manually created the folder and then the DNN starter kit install worked successfully!

Thanks!

~Bee
