Hi,

I've installed DNN 4.08 version using Visual Web Developer 2008. All installed well and runs well under ASP.NET Development Server. However when I try to run it under IIS, It goes into UnderConstruction.htm page. So I tried to run /Install/install.aspx manually and get "Error: Could not connect to database specified in connection String for SqlDataProvider"

My connection string, using sqlexpress 2005.

connectionString="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True;AttachDBFilename=|DataDirectory|Database.mdf;"

This is running on Windows Server 2003.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Peter

Just an off the wall guess - Do you have SQL Server express installed? Normally Win2003 has some of the SQL server services installed but not the database.

If not you will need to install SQL server express or if this is for development you can use the SQL server developers edition.

Its working now....what I did in the end was to create a new database for dotnetnuke, setup user with dbo access and that worked.
