Hi,

Our company is evaluarting DotNetNuke for our e-commerce website, so I need to be able to create some modules to play with.

Trying to install latest version of Starter Kit and get error message: "String cannot have zero length".

I have DotNetNuke installed and running with VStudio 2005 and MS Sql 2005.

Any ideas what can be wrong?

Regards,

EJ

I'm experiencing the same error with VS2008.  I have the 4.8.2 starter kit installed and running, but wanted to upgrade to 4.8.3.  I'm getting the same error.

Well, I was able to get this installed finally.

As I mentioned in my last post (I think, since the last one wasn't approved yet), I have VS2008 installed.  At the time I did not have VS2005 installed.  However, I installed Visual Web Developer Express 2005 on a hunch and the install went normally.

So, the long and the short of it is, if you don't have VS2005 installed, install one of the express editinos in order to the the VSI to install.

Good luck,

Shaun
