Hi,

I downloaded the 4.8.2 upgrade, merged the web.config settings into a copy of release.config and then copied all of the files over the ones I had in place previously. Going to the site in my browser saw a successful upgrade message and if I go to each portal all looks fine... until I try to login. It appears all of my login accounts aren't working. If I say ''forgot password" then I see a message 'There was an error retrieving your password. No password was sent.' :-(

Please... HELP! Thanks,

When you merged the settings from the old web.config, did you remember to transfer the validationKey and decriptionKey values in the < machinekey> section?  If not, you may still be able to do so and then be able to log in successfully.

That's kind of weird. I downloaded the 4.8.2 upgrade package, extracted it on top of my site and everything is orking just fine. I didn't mod the release.config at all.
Obviously I backed up everything, but the 4.8.2 upgrade went well. Some new files installed and some scripts got copied. Hmm.....

I also upgraded to 4.8.2. I can login as host and all the websites seem to be running fine. But Admins cannot login and when I tried to change an Admin password I got a pop error seen on this link.

There is nothing in the Event Viewer.
