hello,

ive just installed DNN and am testing it out. looks good.

one question -- how come my modules list has only 10 items? i dont see many of the ones listed on this walkthru page:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/guidedtour/ModulesAdd.htm

...such as FAQs, Events, Forums, etc.

Hi Matt,

welcome to DotNetNuke. There are about fifteen other modules shipping with DotNetNuke, which can be installed on request:

  • login as superuser ("host")
  • go to Module Definitions in Host menu
  • scroll down to the list of installable module
  • select those you would like to use and click install

To install additional (3rd party or updated) modules use "install new module" link.

Cheers from Germany,

one that i dont see -- Contacts. tho in the DNN Projects section online i do see a Contacts project. has this replaced the built-in module? the latest download is like 2 years old, is this it?

it's an important one because the volunteer org im working for goes thru leadership changes often.

thanks,
matt
