Hi all,

I'm trying to install version 4.8.2 on Windows Server 2003 and MSSQL2005

I set up the DB and file permissions and moddified the we.config as required.

When I try to install DNN I get the following error message and only 1 table is being created in the DB and also 3 SPs (So I assume my DB configuration is OK)

Server Error in '/DotNetNuke_2' Application.

Input string was not in a correct format.

Hey Zion,

Which 4.8.2 package did you download? Install or Source? I'm not certain if you have tried this more than once and encountered this error - but I would suggest starting over from the very beginning with a fresh package. Unfortunately that is generally a faster and easier way to get things working properly than to troubleshoot the specific error message.

Dear Ian,

Thanks for your response.

I was finally able to install the Source version.

What I was doing wrong was that I followed the installation instructions which say that the web.config should be modified, In this case, after modifying it, the installation doesn't complete OK.

When I keep it as is, everything works ok.

Glad to hear you resolved your issue! Out of curiosity -- what modifications were you making to the web.config? Database connection string?

The only change I had to make was to the DB connection string.

I can't find the document which I followed . Apparntlly I was doing something I wasn't supposed to do :-)
